…Vowed to support him again and again, gave reasons.

Spokesperson of Delta State Campaign Council of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Olorogun Barr Fred Latimore Oghenesivbe, has again predicted politically that the incoming governor of the state, Rt Hon Sheriff Francis Oborevwori, JP, will for the second time teach the former candidate of opposition All Progressives Congress, APC, Senator Ovie Omo-Agege, another bitter Political lesson should he decide to run in 2027 under any political party.

Oghenesivbe made the assertion while responding to a question put forward by a Correspondent of Unilag FM Radio in Lagos on Wednesday, saying that Senator Agege won in four local government areas because of his crude electioneering malpractices, coupled with the unfortunate anti party activities of some greedy members and chieftains of the PDP, who are currently facing diverse disciplinary actions through credible organs of the party.

The Delta PDP campaign council mouthpiece told Unilag FM that the incoming governor’s victory was celebrated widely across the state, a strong indication that he won the governorship election convincingly, due to his unblemished integrity, humility, simplicity, competence, street credibility and popularity.

Oghenesivbe said PDP’s victory was widely accepted in the state, celebrated by majority of the people, as well as some patriotic governorship candidates of opposition parties including; Chief Great Ogboru of the All Progressives Grand Alliance, APGA, Engr Goodnews Goodman Agbi of NNPP and several others, who paid congratulatory visit to Elder Oborevwori and pledged their support for the incoming administration in the state.

Oghenesivbe, who is a member of the American Political Science Association, APSA, and Distinguished Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Information and Strategy Management of Nigeria, Dcism, said that in advanced democracies such as United States of America, United Kingdom, German and others, a criminally minded element in the person of Senator Agege, who committed the grave criminal offence of forgery and perjury, and for which he was debarred from practicing Law in the State of California in USA, ought to be languishing in jail for stealing mace in broad day light at the National Assembly.

He berated the APC national government under President Muhmmadu Buhari, for shamelessly compensating Senator Ovie Omo-Agege with the position of Deputy Senate President, DSP, thereby eronously making him a superstar in Nigeria, and in the same token knowingly set a bad precedent for future generations, by directly or indirectly rewarding an act of criminality and unpatriotic gross misconduct.

Olorogun Latimore assured that he will continue to support Elder Oborevwori, (his personal friend of over 43 years), saying that he strongly believe in the Delta Governor-Elect’s capabilities; integrity, competence, humility, cordiality in friendship and his love for Delta, genuine desire to serve society and humanity.

“To answer your question, Delta Governor-Elect, Rt Hon Sheriff Francis Oborevwori, will for the second time disgrace and defeat Senator Ovie Omo-Agege at the polls should he decide to run in 2027.

“They are miles apart in multifaceted considerations, and Oborevwori is far ahead of Agege in terms of visionary leadership, positive charisma, competence, integrity, popularity, et al.

“Agege lacks good conscience, morally bankrupt, no iota of truth in him, no integrity, not reliable, not dependable, criminally minded, cannot be trusted, dubious to a fault and spiritually a deviant.

“I am worried for Nigeria because in advanced democracies like USA, Germany, Italy, UK, et al., a criminal element like Senator Agege ought to be languishing in jail. He masterminded, planned and actively participated in the criminal act of stealing Senate mace, the symbol of authority during plenary.

“Mace rustling is a grave criminal offence wherein Senator Agege was clearly and directly linked to the ‘mens rea and actus reus’ of the act, but the Buhari administration and APC national government unfortunately decided to scrupulously compensate him for his odious crime by installing him as Nigeria’s DSP. Too bad.

“Before the 2023 general elections, Agege was pretty sure that his position as DSP which he got through obvious criminal act would automatically translate to another undeserving gain of becoming governor in Delta State, through APC unscrupulous election rigging machine. No, he was wrong.

“Deltans voted and ensured that their votes were counted, recorded and uploaded real time to INEC irev. He lost woefully and no mandate to claim at the tribunal and in our Courts.

“Deltans graciously, conscientiously, happily and willingly gave their mandate to the Governor-Elect, His Excellency, Rt Hon Sheriff Francis Oborevwori, JP, on March 18 and it’s sacrosanct. His M.O.R.E agenda shall advance Delta and build on the sparkling legacies of our amiable incumbent governor, Senator Dr Ifeanyi Arthur Okowa, CON.

“On whether I will vigorously support His Excellency, Rt Hon Sheriff Francis Oborevwori, again in 2027? My straight answer is YES. I have known him for over 43 years and as a matter of fact, he encouraged me and ensured that I joined Delta Politics and the PDP.

“We have mutual respect for one another and I trust Elder Oborevwori’s sense of judgement, competence, integrity and forthrightness. Deltans shall be the greatest beneficiaries of his good governance; transparency, accountability, honesty, equity, justice and inclusiveness.

“God, by His unfailing love and mercy will keep us alive and I shall support H.E. Oborevwori again and again beyond 2027, because he is a good man, a promise keeper, God fearing, forthright and amazingly dependable,” Oghenesivbe said.
