Reelect Uzosike in 2023: he has raised the bar in Infrastructure in Umuahia south-Abia deputy Gov, Speaker tells Constituents

 

The Deputy Governor of Abia State, Ude Oko Chukwu, has applauded the exemplary leadership styles of the member representing Umuahia South constituency at the State House of Assembly, Hon Jerry Uzosike.

Oko Chukwu also lauded the hard work, steady contributions, and commitment of Uzosike to the development of Abia and her people, adding that the lawmaker has demonstrated uncommon leadership shrouded on Infrastructures and human development.

The Deputy Governor who was a former Speaker of the Abia House of Assembly stated this at the commissioning ceremony of houses and other critical infrastructural projects initiated and completed by the State lawmaker held at Olokoro in Umuahia South local government area of the state.

He reiterated that the legislator has shown responsive leadership since assumption of office and rallied support to Uzosike for him to be given another opportunity to return to the assembly to enable him to continue and consolidate on many of his laudable strides especially in the area of attraction of developmental project from the executive arm of government.

According to the number two citizen of Abia State, “I congratulate the good people of Umuahia South for having a leader like Uzosike. He derives joy from putting smiles on the faces of hai Constituents. And having head and see what their leader, he is doing in the entire umuahia south. He should also be given another opportunity come 2023.

During the elaborate event, the Abia Deputy Governor, Oko Chukwu urged the Peoples Democratic Party lawmaker to sustain the tempo in the dispensation of democratic dividends to his constituents.

He said, Uzosike has not been found wanting, and he is truly speaking the minds of his people; and the reward for good work, hard work, and job Weldon is more work.

Oko Chukwu further charged the State parliamentarian to fasten his seat belt and expect more work from the PDP in Abia state and the entire Umuahia south constituents and Abians as a whole.

On his part, the Speaker of the Abia State House of Assembly, Rt Hon Chinedum Enyinnaya Orji, applauded the untiring contributions of Hon Jerry Uzosike in deepening democracy in the state and the Constituency.

Hon Orji appreciated the lawmaker for always identifying with his people through quality representations and massive empowerment.

The Abia speaker opined that Uzosike has taken legislative representations to another higher dimension, by not only making laws but also attracting and executing laudable projects for the huge benefit of his people.

Orji further used the medium to thank the traditional rulers in Abia for their unwavering contributions to the peace and harmony of the state.

Responding, the Representative of the Umuahia South constituency in Abia House of Assembly and Chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Hon Jerry Uzosike, said that he had recorded greater achievements since assumption of office as a member of the Assembly which is teethed to enhance the welfare of the people, and further added that he was performing the commissioning of most of his laudable projects and human empowerments in fulfillment of his electoral promises to the Umuahia South people.
