Senator Philip Tanimu Aduda, representing the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) lost his father, Bishop Tanimu Aduda, in Abuja.
A senior legislative aide to Senator Aduda, Mr Samuel Shekwolo, who confirmed the death through telephone with our reporter, said late Bishop Tanimu died at the age of 76 in the early hours of Wednesday, at a private hospital in Abuja, after a brief illness.
He said the remains of the late Aduda’s father has been deposited at the hospital morgue, as families make arrangements for the deceased burial, which he said will be communicated in due course.
Global Times Nigeria correspondent learnt that the late Aduda’s father was the Bishop of the Anglican Dioceses, Gwagwalada, Abuja.
It was gathered that among the first callers at the private Karu home of Senator Aduda, to condole him over his father’s were Esu of Garki, Alhaji Usman Ngakupi’i, House of Reps member for AMAC /Bwari, Micah Jiba and few others.
