Toto LG Vice Chairman, Kwanakis Congratulates TODA On It’s Maiden Edition of Annual Carnival Day
More stakeholders in Toto local government have continued to align with the leadership of Toto Development Association, TODA, over what they described as the first of a kind and best peace initiative in the history of the area.
Vice-Chairman Toto LG, Hon. Abubakar Haruna Kwanakis has congratulated the entire leadership of the Toto Development Association, TODA, for bringing the people together irrespective of tribe, clan, and religious differences with the sole aim to ensure everlasting peace in the area.
Alhaji Kwanakis addressing journalists at the just concluded maiden edition of TODA annual Carnival Day and Award Presentation held in the Central Primary Pilot School Toto, Toto local government area of Nasarawa State on Wednesday, he said the stakeholders has successfully laid a solid foundation for peaceful coexistence among the various tribes in the area.
The former Toto ward councilor expressed optimism that this initiative nurtured by TODA will go a long way towards sustaining and maintaining peace, urging the people of the area to rally around the stakeholders to achieve the set goal of the association.
Kwanakis also congratulated all the recipients of the TODA award, calling on them to see their award as a wake-up call to do more for their people.
He commended the people of Toto and by extension Toto LG and beyond to emulate the leadership styles exemplified by TODA whose objectives are all about peace, development, unity, and promoting good governance.
“I want to use this very medium to thank my people, particularly the TODA leadership ably led by my elder brother, a successful businessman, grassroots political juggernaut, and above all our former governorship aspirant, His Excellency, Alhaji (Dr.) Muhammed Musa Maikaya for his leadership prowess.”
He thanked the State Governor, Alhaji Abdullahi Sule for his usual support and for making sure peace thrived in the area.
He assures the people of Toto of Hon. Aliyu Abdullahi Tashas’s led council administration which is geared towards sustaining and maintaining peace for the overall development of the area.
Global Times Nigeria reports that the event featured an award presentation to some eminent personalities, cultural display by various ethnic groups, and while the occasion play host to guests within and outside the LG.
