2022 Eid El-Fitr: Ohi of Okengwe-Ehi Enjoins Muslims to Remain Practitioners of Lessons Learnt During Ramadan

As Muslims all over the World celebrates the 2022 Eid-El-Fitri Festival, they have been called upon to continue to imbibe all acts practiced during the Ramadan period.

The Ohi of Okengwe-Ehi, (HRH) Ahmed Tijani Muhammed Anaje, made the call while speaking with our Correspondent at his Palace in Okengwe.

(HRH) Ahmed Anaje said the call became necessary following the need for all to fear Allah and do His will at all times.

The Traditional Ruler said Ramadan afforded the adherents of Islam opportunity to draw closer to Allah through prayers, supplications, fasting, studying of the holy qua’ran, arms giving among others, calling on them to sustain such tempo even after the season.

“I use this opportunity to appreciate Almighty Allah who granted us the strength to start and end the 2022 Ramadan in a peaceful way

“I urge all Muslim Ummah to continue to abide by the laws of Islam as we did during the holy month of Ramadan even after the celebration of Eid El-Fitr

“The month of Ramadan came to train us to refrain from acts that are inimical to the society, this is something we should practice daily not just at a season so that we can enjoy Allah’s blessings regularly” he said.

(HRH) Ahmed Anaje felicitated with Kogi State Governor, Alhaji Yahaya Adoza Bello, the Ohinoyi of Ebiraland, Dr. Ado Ibrahim (CoN), other Traditional Rulers and the entire Muslim faithfuls in Ebiraland on the occasion, praying Allah to continue to guide and protect them.

Muslims in Okengwe, Okene Local Government Area of Kogi State trooped out in their numbers to the Eid Ground to observe prayers as part of religious obligation to commentate the end of the week long fast.
