NUC Grants Operational License to Kuje Leadership University

The National Universities Commission (NUC) has officially granted an operational license to the Leadership University, Kuje Abuja, authorizing the institution to commence full academic activities with immediate effect.
The Executive Secretary of the NUC, Professor Abdullahi Yusuf Ribadu, announced this on Friday, at the commissions headquarters in Abuja, which had the former FCT Minister, Dr Aliyu Modibbo Umar, who is the Chairman/Board of Trustee (BOT) of the Leadership University, the Pro-Chancellor, Dr Musa Yahaya Muhammad and Vice Chancellor of the University Prof Muhammed Evuti in attendance.
Prof Ribadu, noted that with the granting of the licence, the commission has approved 15 accredited courses across five faculties for the take off of the university.
In his remarks, Dr. Aliyu Modibbo Umar, the former FCT Minister, who is the Chairman/Board of Trustee (BOT) of the institution, expressed appreciation to the NUC for granting approval for the take off academic activities at the university.
He also thanked the NUC for the confidence in the university’s vision and assured the commission of the institution’s commitment to maintaining credibility, standards, and excellence.
“The Kuje Leadership University, Abuja, is founded on the principles of quality and functional education. And we are determined to produce graduates who are not only academically sound but also ethically grounded and innovative,” Dr. Modibbo stated.
According to him, the institution’s aims was to redefine higher education by fostering leadership values, innovation, and community service as core components of its academic culture.
Our correspondent report that among other dignitaries present at the brief event, included the Ordinary President, Ahmed Isa of the (Brekete Radio FM) and some education stakeholders in the FCT.
