An illustrious son of Adupi-Emoriko in Ogugu Ward 2, Olamaboro Local Government Area of Kogi State, Engr. Sunday Peter, has provided additional motorised boreholes to residents as part of efforts to alleviate water scarcity and improve access to potable water in the community.
Peter, an engineer by profession, has continued to invest in humanitarian initiatives aimed at reducing the difficulties faced by residents in accessing essential amenities, particularly potable water.
In the last three years, he has facilitated the sinking of more than four motorised boreholes across communities in Ogugu Ward 2.
In a fresh intervention, the engineer recently commissioned two additional motorised boreholes in Imaja, Adupi-Emoriko, a community that had experienced acute water scarcity for several years.
The latest projects are expected to provide residents with easier access to clean and potable water while reducing the hardship associated with travelling long distances in search of water.
The intervention has also been welcomed as a significant humanitarian contribution to the community, particularly given the importance of reliable access to safe water to the health and wellbeing of residents.
Residents and beneficiaries expressed appreciation to Engr. Sunday Peter for his continued commitment to community development and humanitarian service.
