The Kogi State Coordinator of the South West Agenda for Asiwaju Agenda and North Central Alliance (SWAGA/NCA) and President of the Prince Michael Ojotule Support Group, Prince Michael Ojotule, has felicitated with Muslim faithful in Kogi State, Nigeria, and across the world on the occasion of the 2026 Eid-el-Adha celebration.
Prince Ojotule, in a statement issued on Wednesday in Lokoja ahead of the Sallah celebration scheduled for Wednesday, May 27, 2026, urged Muslims to embrace the virtues of sacrifice, obedience, humility, and total submission to the will of God as exemplified by Prophet Ibrahim (AS).
According to him, Eid-el-Adha remains one of the most significant festivals in Islam because it reflects unwavering faith, devotion, and selflessness demonstrated by Prophet Ibrahim when he willingly obeyed God’s instruction to sacrifice his son.
He called on adherents of the Islamic faith to use the occasion to pray fervently for peace, unity, stability, and economic recovery in Nigeria, stressing that the country needs divine intervention to overcome its current security and socio-economic challenges.
The SWAGA/NCA Coordinator also urged Muslims and residents of Kogi State to celebrate responsibly and maintain a low-key celebration, while remaining vigilant and security conscious during the festive period.
He warned against activities of suspicious individuals who may seek to take advantage of the celebration to perpetrate criminal acts, advising citizens to promptly report strange movements and suspicious characters to security agencies.
Prince Ojotule further appealed to the people of the state to continue supporting government at all levels through prayers and constructive engagement, noting that leadership requires collective support and cooperation to succeed.
The former aspirant for the House of Representatives seat representing Idah Federal Constituency on the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC) specifically called on citizens to pray for Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo of Kogi State and President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, asking God to grant them wisdom, strength, and success in addressing the numerous challenges confronting the nation.
He expressed optimism that with sustained prayers, unity among citizens, and commitment from leaders, Nigeria would overcome insecurity, economic hardship, and other national difficulties.
Prince Ojotule also urged political leaders, religious groups, and community stakeholders to promote peaceful coexistence and religious harmony, especially during the festive season.
He wished all Muslim faithful a peaceful, joyous, and spiritually rewarding Eid-el-Adha celebration.
