Nasarawa/Toto APC Reps Aspirant, Awal Mahmud, Urges Supporters to Back Party Candidates
A former aspirant for the 2027 House of Representatives seat for Nasarawa/Toto Federal Constituency, Hon. Mohammed Awal Mahmud, popularly known as Tabari Toto, has called on his supporters across the Nasarawa/Toto axis and beyond to put the past behind them and unite in support of all candidates of the All Progressives Congress (APC) who emerged victorious in the party’s primary elections.
Mahmud made the appeal on Thursday while hosting his supporters and coordinators from Toto Local Government Area at Toto town, the LGC administrative headquarters.
He said he had received concerns from many supporters who felt disappointed over his inability to secure the party’s ticket and believed he had not been adequately compensated by the government. However, he urged them to remain calm and committed to the party’s collective success.
According to him, politics is a journey defined by timing and destiny.
“I understand the feelings of my supporters, but in politics, there is a time for everything. Perhaps my time has not yet come,” he said.
Mahmud expressed confidence in the support he enjoys among the people, stating that although he remains the people’s choice, divine timing must be respected.
“I am the choice of the people, but Allah has said it is not yet time. We must support those whom God has chosen to represent us while we continue to place our hopes and aspirations in Almighty Allah, who gives and takes at His appointed time,” he added.
The former APC aspirant thanked his supporters for their unwavering loyalty, prayers, and solidarity throughout his political journey, assuring them that he remains committed to their shared vision.
He further urged them to work tirelessly for the victory and continued growth of the APC ahead of the 2027 general elections.
Mahmud maintained that the APC remains the most viable platform for Nigeria’s progress and development.
According to him, the ruling party possesses the structure and leadership capacity needed to move the country forward.
