PAAU Law Graduate Bags First Class at Nigerian Law School, Set for Call to Bar

A graduate of the Faculty of Law, Prince Abubakar Audu University (PAAU), Anyigba, Miss John Progress Chubiyojo, has emerged with a First Class in the recently concluded Bar Final Examinations of the Nigerian Law School.

Chubiyojo, who graduated as the third-best graduating student of the University’s Faculty of Law during the 2023/2024 academic session, obtained her Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.) degree from PAAU before proceeding to the Nigerian Law School, Lagos Campus, where she recorded the outstanding feat.

She is scheduled to be formally called to the Nigerian Bar on July 10, 2026, at the Body of Benchers Complex of the Nigerian Law School in Bwari, Abuja.

Reacting to the development, the Vice-Chancellor of Prince Abubakar Audu University, Professor Salisu Ogbo Usman, described the achievement as a proud moment for the institution and a reflection of its commitment to academic excellence.

He congratulated the graduate for her outstanding performance, attributing her success to hard work, discipline, resilience and unwavering dedication to her studies.

The Vice-Chancellor also commended the Dean, Head of Department and lecturers in the Faculty of Law for their commitment to producing quality graduates, urging them to sustain the culture of excellence.

Professor Usman said the achievement further reinforced the University’s commitment to providing an enabling environment that promotes academic excellence, professional development and the realisation of students’ aspirations.

He reaffirmed the University’s resolve to continue recognising and celebrating exceptional achievements by its students and alumni, noting that such accomplishments enhance the institution’s reputation as a centre of academic excellence.
