Delta Bureau DG says continuity will strengthen federal connections, legislative advocacy and constituency development

The Director-General of the Delta State Bureau for Orientation and Communications, Olorogun Fred Latimore Oghenesivbe, Esq., has said the re-election of Senator Ede Dafinone in 2027 would enable Delta Central Senatorial District to consolidate the gains recorded during his first term.

Oghenesivbe, who is also the Delta Central APC Communication Strategist, made the statement on Sunday while highlighting what he described as the strategic benefits of retaining experienced representation in the National Assembly.

He said Dafinone had accumulated valuable institutional experience, legislative knowledge and relationships during his first term, which, according to him, could be deployed more effectively if the senator is given another mandate.

“The re-election of Senator Dafinone in 2027 would produce significant and inestimable gains for Delta Central, Delta State and Nigeria,” he stated.

Oghenesivbe explained that continuity would allow the senator to consolidate initiatives already commenced while deepening connections with relevant federal institutions.

He said Dafinone’s legislative responsibilities, particularly his role as Vice Chairman of the Senate Committee on Local Content and Vice Chairman of the Senate Committee on Legislative Compliance, placed him in strategic positions capable of influencing important areas of national development.

According to him, Delta Central stands to benefit from sustained advocacy in areas such as local content, employment, industrialisation, accountability and economic inclusion.

He also praised the senator’s focus on education, technical skills, youth empowerment and digital opportunities.

Oghenesivbe said these areas were particularly important in preparing young people for a changing economy and expanding opportunities beyond traditional sources of employment.

He noted that Dafinone’s professional experience in economics, accounting, taxation, business and corporate governance had also contributed to his understanding of complex economic and legislative issues.

The Delta Central APC strategist further described the senator’s constructive relationship with Governor Sheriff Oborevwori as an advantage to the people of the district.

According to him, cooperation between elected representatives and the state government can facilitate better coordination and improve the prospects of development.

Oghenesivbe said Dafinone’s approach demonstrated that political representation should focus on building partnerships capable of delivering practical benefits to citizens.

He therefore called on Delta Central voters to consider the importance of continuity as the 2027 elections approach.

He said another term would give Dafinone the opportunity to strengthen constituency advocacy, maximise his committee responsibilities and further connect local priorities with national development programmes.
