One of the most prominent gubernatorial hopeful in Edo State, Hon. John Yakubu, has felicitated with Muslims in Edo State on the occasion of the celebration of Eid-El-Fitr.
In his goodwill message, the former council chairman urged the Muslim faithfuls in the state to continue to pray for the renewed hope that is inherent in all Nigerians.
Yakubu said, “I am felicitating with all Muslim faithfuls in Edo State on the celebration of Eid-El-Fitr after the successful completion of the Ramadan fasting.
“This period of joy should also be a period of reflection in our political lives and for our great nation. I urge us to imbibe the spirit of sacrifice for our fellow mankind and for our nation. Let imbibe the spirit of tolerance. Let love leads in all our endeavours. If we are selfless as individuals, this will be transmitted into achieving the desired peace, unity and sustainable cooperation we need in our multi-cultural and mult-ethnic nation.
“The teachings of the Holy Prophet Mohammed (S.A.W) should be the guiding light for every Muslim adherent.”
He concluded that the focus of all Edo citizens, including the Muslim faithfuls, is to see the state go through rapid development and growth as from 2024 under his watch.
