As part of Eid-el-Kabir celebration, Chairman traditional council of chiefs Lokoja/Koton-Karfe, His Royal Majesty, Alhaji Abdulrazaq Sani Isah-Koto had a busy schedule receiving one group after the other on sallah homage in Koton-Karfe, the LG headquarters.

The political stakeholders from Kogi Local Government Area had the following leaders that visited the monarch, Hon. Engineer Abubakar Bashir Gegu (Commissioner for Solid Mineral and Natural Resources), Hon. Muhammed Abubakar Tanko Okofi (State Assembly Member) representing Koton-Karfe Constituency, Hon. Chief Barr. Muhammed Tanko Musa Osuku, (SSA On LG & Chieftaincy Affairs and Hon. Abdulkarim Bala ECOMOG, SSA on Security Kogi LG and others, were the first to call on the Ohimegye during which they pledged their total support of the Emirate Council.

The Ohimegye Of Koton-Karfe and Lokoja/Kotonkarfe traditional council of chiefs, HRM. Alhaji Abdulrazaq Sani Isah-Koto has urged Kogi Local Government residents to imbibe the virtues of love, forgiveness and peace as he host his wards to a colourful Sallah celebration.

The monarch’s message was passed during the traditional homage organized to mark this year Sallah celebration.

He urged them to use the festivity to pray for Allah’s wisdom and direction for the leaders to lead on the path of peace, unity and development.

Also part of activities marking the event was traditional cultural display by groups, paying of traditional royal homage by all graded/ungraded (Ohinoyis) chiefs in Igu kingdom.

The launching of Egbira Movies (Kidnapper) and among other added to the colourful of the just concluded occasion.

The political stakeholders in the LG, led by the lawmaker representing Koton-Karfe, Hon. Muhammed Tanko Okofi, paid sallah homage to the monarch in his palace in Koton-Karfe.

In his brief speech, the leader admonished the people to respect constituted authorities and to endeavour to live in peace with others by reporting unscrupulous elements to law enforcement.

He described harmonious and peaceful co-existence among residents as one of the surest ways to achieve overall development for the council.

Earlier, Barr. Muhammed Tanko Musa said they were at the palace to pray for the monarch and the royal family, in line with Islamic injunctions.

Tanko, who served as former Administrator of Kogi LG, assured the monarch that the communities in Koton-Karfe kingdom had intensified prayers for the council to end Insecurity.

He also served as Chairman launching of Egbira movies (Kidnapper) and pray for enduring peace and tranquillity in the area.
