Kogi Confluence University commences academic activities as essential infrastructure hit 90% completion.

The Confluence University of Science and Technology (CUSTECH) Osara, Kogi state, would soon commence academic activities as essential infrastructures needed for its smooth take off has attained 90% completion.

Kogi state commissioner for Information and Communication, Mr. Kingsley Fanwo, who disclosed to Journalists on Thursday after the State Executive Council meeting,said all necessary arrangement has been completed for the smooth take off of the institution.

He explained that the State government has also put in motion, process for the full accreditation of courses at the Confluence University of Science and Technology, Osara.

The Commissioner also disclosed that the Executive Council was briefed by the Commissioner for Education, Hon. Wemi Jones, that the institution is ready for take off and admission into the institution would soon commence.

Mr. Fanwo also stated that the Council similarly deliberated on the health care initiative and legacy programme of the Governor, tagged “Bello Cares Scheme,” targeted at taking care of the medical needs of low income earners and particularly the health needs of pregnant women in a bid to reduce maternal mortality rate.

According to the Commissioner, several institutions have already shown commitment to bank roll certain percentages of the needed fund which would allow beneficiaries access it.

He also revealed that the state government had released fund for its health Insurance Scheme as parts of its proactive measure to deliver quality health service at the lowest cost possible.
