Kogi election: Igala Students body endorses SDP Gov’norship candidate, Muritala Yakubu Ajaka
Ahead of Kogi State Governorship election slated for November 11 2023, the Igala students across the country have endorsed the candidature of the Social Democratic Party, SDP, governorship candidate, Muritala Yakubu Ajaka.
The group said it has set a special committee to launch a search for a better candidate amongst various people contesting the governorship election and discovered that Muritala Yakubu Ajaka most qualified and competent to lead the State.
This was contained in a statement issued by Senate President of the Igala Students Association, National Secretariat, Senator Muhammed Suleiman Husseini also known as (De Young Alhaji) said the endorsement was a collective decision of he Igala students body.
The student leader explained that the SDP Flagbearer worthy in character, personality and as the most competent among other runners.
The Senate President has also taken his time to study and assess all other candidates prior before the endorsement.
He believes that the candidature of Alh. Murtala and subsequently his victory at the polls come November 11th will trigger a tremendous positive change in the lives of the citizens of Kogi State.
He urged all the patriotic Students and Youths of Kogi state to massively support and vote Alh. Murtala Yakubu Ajaka devoid of political, religious or ethnic affiliations saying that all we needed in Kogi state is good governance.
He further advised Students and Youths to take back their future and stand their ground of restoring the lost glory of Kogi State.
He added that, Kogi State is the state we cherish and the right hands needed to move it forward will be voted in come November 11th.
He said, he is aware of the threats on anyone that endorses this right candidate Alh. Murtala Yakubu Ajaka, this indeed is a sign of success and victory to Kogi state.
He believes that the God that liberated the people of Egypt from the hand of Pharaoh will surely liberate Kogi state come November, 11th.
Lastly, he urged all the students and youths to vote and support without considering selfish interests or to vote wrongly due to intimidation as he prayed that God Almighty should grant Kogi state liberation.
