Kogi Guber: We will support Olayinka Braimoh for Governor, — Says NANS, Youth Groups

The National Association of Nigerian Students (NAN) and coalition youth group from the three senatorial district of Kogi State declared on Monday that they would support the governorship candidate of the Action Alliance, AA, Olayinka Braimoh to win the upcoming November 11 election.
Tijjani Usman leader of the delegation said NANS have perfected plan to back Olayinka Braimoh was based on his track record of his unprecedented empowerment to women, youths and as well extended to students across the State.
Usman disclosed that NANS will embark on vigorous campaign in Kogi State to sought for students vote for AA gubernatorial candidate, saying the NANS committee will set up committee to visit all tertiary institution to interface with indigenous students specifically those prospective voters.
The groups include Nigerian Youth Advocacy for Good Governance Initiative (NYAGGI), Solid Youth Movement, and Central Youth Organisation.
Usman, a former National President of National Association of Nigeria Students (NANS), expressed the groups’ belief that Braimoh would succeed Gov. Yahaya Bello.
“We have this strong belief that by God’s grace, Braimoh will be the one to succeed Gov. Yahaya Bello on Jan. 27, 2024.
“This conference, pulsating with energy and determination, echoes our resounding proclamation, affirming Otunba Braimoh as the embodiment of competence, vision, and the pragmatic roadmap necessary to usher Kogi State into a prosperous era.”
Global Times Nigeria reported that both NANS and various youths associations made known their support of AA governorship candidate at a joint news briefing in Lokoja, the State capital.
“This endorsement is firmly grounded in Otunba Braimoh’s exceptional contributions within the state, most notably his unwavering commitment to education and Philanthropic gestures to residents of Kogi,” he said.
According to him, Braimoh has made concerted efforts to empower the youth and women, improve student welfare, and advance education in the state.
He noted that he also had a comprehensive Manifesto encompassing Solid Minerals, Tourism, Agriculture, and Trade (S.T.A.T).
According to him, all these signified a promise to elevate countless youths and the entire populace from the grip of poverty, leaving an enduring impact on our state’s youthful demographic.
He further said that Braimoh’s vision and mission statements had struck a deep chord with Kogi’s youth and student leaders, eliciting their wholehearted endorsement.
“We urge all eligible youths and students across the state to stand united and exercise their sacred right to cast their votes in favour of the AA candidate, the “People’s Governor.”

“Our collective aspiration is to witness the transformation of Kogi under the astute leadership of Braimoh,” he said.
