Nasarawa Gov, Speaker Balarabe, Others Charges Religion Leaders To Focus More On Preaching Against Criminalities Bedeviling The Nation.

Religion leaders in the country have been urged to used their God given gifts and talents towards putting an end to all form of criminalities that is destroying the nation, frustrating peace, development and threatening human existence.

Nasarawa State Governor, Engr. Abdullahi Sule made the observation at an event organized by the Jama’atul Izalatul Bidh’A Wa’ikhamatis Sunnah (JIBWIS) which held in Lafia, the State capital.

The Governor who expressed worried over continued carnage in some part of the country, call on religious leaders to continue to preach unity and peaceful coexistence to their members in order for development to thrive in the society.

On his part, the Speaker, Nasarawa State House of Assembly, Rt. Honourable, Ibrahim Balarabe Abdullahi in his speech at the event praised the significant role played by religion leaders in entrenchment of peace and unity in the society.

Speaker Balarabe who represent the good people of Umaisha/Ugya state constituency in Toto LG advocated for enhance prayers and preaching by religion leaders in the face of banditry and all other forms of criminality bedeviling the society.

This formed the basis of their speeches at the 150 million naira Appeal Fund Launching for building of State Secretariat, Guest House and Purchase of Vehicle organized by JIBWIS, Nasarawa State Chapter held in Lafia today.

Gov. Sule and Speaker Balarabe who spoke separately through their representatives, applauded the state leadership of JIBWIS and its National headquarters Jos for their relentless efforts at propagating the true teachings of Islam not only in their jurisdictions but Nigeria at large.

Gov. Sule was represented at the occasion by Barr. Imam Zanwa a Former Commissioner while Speaker Balarabe was represented by member representing Lafia North constituency, Barr. Muhammad Ibrahim Alkali.

They applauded JIBWIS for propagating Islam and preaching peace in the country and called for its sustenance especially JIBWIS various programs such as preachings, seminars conferences and workshops which they said are very impacting.

They acknowledged the organization’s commitment to the development of Islam as it has gone extra mile to established Islamic schools and college of educations in both rural and urban areas through selfless efforts.

They also commended the National leader of JIBWIS sheikh Muhammad Sani Yahaya jingir for keeping the organization moving from strength to strength while assuring of government support at all times.

” I’m overwhelmed with the activities of JIBWIS because this organization since inception has been doing a lot of sacrifices in educating Muslims men and women as well as our children with the requisite Islamic knowledge and it also helped in resolving a lots of misconceptions about Islam”

They assured of the present administration’s commitment to support any religious faith which is out in preaching unity and peace in the state.

It would be reported that the event which had in attendance Hon Muhammad Adamu Omadefu representing Keana constituency, Abdullahi Dahiru Angibi representing Lafia Central, who were part of the speaker’s entourage also donated cash for the cause of the project just as member representing Nasarawa/ Toto Federal constituency, Abdulmumin Ari also made his contribution at the occasion which was climaxed with preaching by Islamic scholars and the appeal fund launch.
