Delta Govt Urges Deltans to Seize Opportunity, Apply for NDA 78 Regular Course Admission
The Delta State Government has issued a clarion call to all eligible indigenes, particularly urging Deltans of proven academic mettle, to seize the golden opportunity of applying for admission into the prestigious 78 Regular Course of the Nigerian Defence Academy (NDA), Kaduna, through the designated online portal at www.ndaapplications.net, with the application window slamming shut precisely on Thursday, 30th April, 2026, thereby opening doors not just to male and female candidates from Delta State but also to other qualified members of the public nationwide who meet the rigorous entry benchmarks.
In a government special announcement that underscores the administration’s commitment to youth empowerment and national service, interested applicants are reminded that they must possess a minimum of five (5) credit passes in relevant subjects, including the all-important English Language and Mathematics, obtained from examinations such as GCE, SSCE, or NECO, while also being mandated to register for and sit the 2026 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME), crucially selecting the Nigerian Defence Academy as their first-choice institution to stand any chance of progressing further in the highly competitive selection process.
The pathway to success at the NDA demands more than mere participation, as only those who satisfy the minimum admission requirements and achieve a commendable UTME score specifically 210 and above for aspirants eyeing Engineering courses, or 180 and above for those in Arts, Social Sciences, and Science disciplines, will qualify to print their Screening Test Admission Card and partake in the all-important screening exercise that serves as the gateway to this elite military institution.
For the fortunate few who scale through, the reward is immense: a rigorous five-year combined military and academic training programme as Officer Cadets, culminating in the conferment of an Honours Degree such as B.Sc., B.Eng., or B.A. in a chosen core discipline, alongside the coveted Presidential Commission into the Armed Forces of Nigeria, positioning graduates for distinguished careers in defence and leadership roles that contribute to the nation’s security architecture.
