Kogi NUT Appeals To Primary School Teachers Over Delay In Salaries Payment

The Kogi state wing of the Nigeria Union of Teachers NUT has appealed to primary school teachers to be patient with Government as their salaries will be paid next week.

The State Chairman of Union, Comrade Thomas Ayodele Stated this while speaking with Newsmen in lokoja, the State Capital.

He said the delay in the payment of their last month salary was due to the deduction from the statutory allocation by the Central Bank of Nigeria debt incurred by previous administration’s ten years ago.

According to comrade Thamos Adeyodele, the problem has been resolved by the local Government Auditor General, Alhaji Ahmed Ododo and the Commissioner of Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs,.

He promised teachers of his resolved not to compromise with their welfare, adding that the issue that brought about the delay had been resolved amicably.
