Nasarawa Secretary Teachers Service Commission, Labaran Shafa assume duty, pledges transparency in appointment of Teachers

The newly appointed Secretary of the Nassarawa State Teachers Service Commission (TSC), Hon Usman Labaran Shafa, has reported at his new office today being Monday.

Shafa promised to ensure transparency, competence and equality in spread of appointment of Teachers in the State.

Hon Shafa, an Educationist and former School Principal, who represented the people of Toto/ Gadabuke Constituency at the last 6th Nassarawa State House of Assembly was appointed Secretary of the State Teachers Service Commission by Gov Abdullahi Sule on 3rd of last month.

Hon Shafa, who was warmly received by the staff of of the Commission and interfaced with the Permanent Secretary of Ministry of Education promised a conducive working environment by carrying and encouraging staff to put in their best to get the best result of the job.

Hon Shafa promised to consolidate and champion Gov. Abdullahi Sule’s drive in repositioning the education sector to meet up with standard and global best practices.

He added that him, the Chairman and other members of the board are ready to work and transform the sector as well as ensure transparency, competence and equality in spread of appointments of new secondary school teachers in the state.
