Nasarawa Speaker Urges Muslims to Donate Generously Towards Completion of Fed Uni Mosque Lafia

Speaker, Nasarawa State House of Assembly Alh Ibrahim Balarabe Abdullahi on Friday led some members of the House to attend the foundation laying ceremony of Federal University Lafia Central Mosque, held at the permanent site of the institution along Makurdi Road Lafia.

In his welcome speech, the Vice-Chancellor of the University, Prof. Shehu Abdul-Rahman, said the project which is his brainchild is being executed by the Muslim Umah of the institution aimed at enabling the university and its community to have juma’at mosque as well as instituting integrity and religion core values.

In his address, the Speaker of the State Assembly Alh Ibrahim Balarabe Abdullahi appreciated the Vice-Chancellor and others who came up with the idea to build the House of Allah saying if completed will not only serve the institution but the entire community, hence his call on Muslims to donate jealously.

Speaker Balarabe who represent the good people of Umaisha/Ugya state constituency of Toto local government area of Nasarawa and elected under the platform of the All Progressives Congress, APC.

Various speeches were delivered by representatives of the State Governor, Emir of Lafia as well as the Andoma of Doma among others as they appreciated the peaceful atmosphere in the institution since its establishment eleven years ago and called for its sustenance.
